The Paint Works Crew
Still Standing, Still Stirring, Still Serving, Always Paint Works.
Since corporate changed the store hours, all crew members are mandated to work "flexible" schedules. Each store SHOULD contain 12 staff members: 2 Store Managers, 2 Assistant Managers, 6 Store Associates, 2 Sales Representatives.

Store Associate
Jinora
She has a big heart and an even bigger imagination. She works hard, cares deeply, and tries to hold everything together—even on days when the store feels like it's falling apart. Creative, capable, and quietly determined, she's the emotional center of the crew. She believes life should be meaningful— even in retail.

Store Associate
Roxy
She’s clever, spirited, and impossible to bulldoze. Roxy has a strong sense of fairness and a habit of saying what everyone else is thinking, which makes her equal parts comforting and dangerous. Beneath the spark and sass, she’s deeply loyal and more protective than she lets on. If she loves you, she’ll stand by you. If she doesn’t, you’ll know.

Store Associate
Fred
Fred is smart, ambitious, and far more intense than the average paint store employee needs to be. He likes rules, structure, and being right, which means he can come off a little sharp—but underneath all that feathers-and-formality, he genuinely cares about the store and the people in it. He wants things to run well, even if his version of “helping” sometimes feels a lot like judging.

Assistant Manager
Duffy
This is the exhausted but loyal assistant manager who's constantly one yawn away from collapsing. He's slow-moving, soft-hearted, and somehow keeps the store running by accident. Coffee in hand, tail dragging, he occasionally drops one line of wisdom so profound it stuns the entire crew. He tries his best. We love him for it.

Store Associate
Zane
He's music-obsessed, with sarcasm wired into his DNA. He pretends not to care, but he feels everything. Deeply loyal to the few people who break through his guarded exterior, he protects them like its instinct. Defensive, sharp-tongued, and unexpectedly earnest, he processes the world in grayscale, but sometimes, color slips in.

Manager
Gianni
Gianni brings loud energy, big confidence, and just enough chaos to keep every shift interesting. He knows how to rally people, boost morale, and turn even the most miserable day into something survivable. Beneath the volume and jokes, he has real heart, and when it counts, he shows up. He may act like he’s just here to have fun—but he cares more than he lets on.

Store AI / Training Program
Soren
Soren is woven into the bones of Paint Works—part training system, part glitch, part something harder to explain. He doesn’t move through the world like everyone else, but he remembers more than he should and notices things others miss. His presence is strange, fractured, and oddly watchful, as if the store itself sometimes speaks through him. Whatever Soren is, he’s more than a machine.

Corporate Training Video
The Trainer
Not much is known about "The Trainer." Except she's Paint Works Corporate.

Manager
Magnus
Magnus has a steady presence that makes a room feel calmer the moment he walks into it. He’s thoughtful, observant, and carries himself like someone who’s seen more than he says. While others lead with noise or nerves, Magnus leads with quiet strength. He doesn’t need to prove he’s in charge—you can just feel it.

Manager
August
August is blunt, old-school, and not especially interested in sugarcoating anything. He can come across rough around the edges, but his sharpness usually hides a deeper instinct to prepare people for the world as it is. He believes in resilience, discipline, and saying what needs to be said. He may not always sound gentle—but somewhere under all that gravel, he means well.

Jinora's ESA (Emotional Support Animal)
Bird
Bird may be small, but his presence is bigger than anyone expected. Equal parts companion, mascot, and tiny force of mystery, he brings a strange comfort to the world around him. He doesn’t say much—being a crab and all—but somehow that never stops him from being understood. In a place like Paint Works, that counts for a lot.

Store Associate
Tank
Tank is solid, dependable, and the kind of presence that makes things feel a little more grounded. He knows what he’s doing, doesn’t waste much time posturing, and brings a calm confidence to the crew. There’s an easiness to him that helps people settle, even in the middle of Paint Works chaos. Strong, steady, and hard not to like, he fits in faster than most.

Store Associate
Glyph
Glyph moves through the world like he’s always picking up signals no one else notices. Curious, eccentric, and a little conspiratorial, he has a habit of saying things that sound ridiculous right up until they don’t. He keeps life interesting, even when nobody asked him to. Whether he’s uncovering secrets or just spiraling beautifully, Glyph is never boring.

Sales Representative
Pani
Panicat is always a little tense, a little overthinking, and somehow still getting everything done. He carries the kind of stress that hums quietly under the surface, which makes him feel far more controlled than calm. He’s observant, capable, and usually three steps ahead of the disaster he suspects is coming. Even when he’s unraveling inside, he still shows up polished.

Sales Representative
Slick
Slick has the kind of confidence that makes it seem like nothing rattles him. He’s smooth-talking, socially agile, and knows how to move through a room without ever looking out of place. He brings a lighter energy to the crew, often with a joke ready before anyone else catches up. Charming when he wants to be and slippery when he needs to be, Slick knows exactly how to work a situation.

Manager
Dasiy
Daisy carries herself with a natural steadiness that makes people want to trust her. She feels capable without being cold, and grounded without losing her warmth. There’s a quiet confidence in the way she handles things, like she doesn’t need to raise her voice to hold authority. In a place as unpredictable as Paint Works, that kind of calm goes a long way.

Hamster Shaker Manager
Foreman Josh
Josh leads the legendary Hamster Shaker Brigade, the tiny but mighty team responsible for keeping Paint Works paint perfectly mixed. Wearing his hard hat and safety vest with pride, Josh oversees the brigade’s daily operations and makes sure every wheel runs smoothly. Friendly, dependable, and always ready to help, he believes every can deserves a proper shake — and every hamster deserves a well-earned sunflower seed.
